The Bounties of Allah (SWT) on us (His worshippers) are vast and one of them is guiding us to the right path (The religion of Islam).

Some people still have the doubt on weather Allah makes someone believe and at the same time make another disbelieve.

Allah has created man and given him sense of reasoning, and so sent down to him Revelations through Messengers in order to call him to the truth and earn him against falsehood.

Allah in his ultimate power has created both man and the Jinn with the ability to distinguish between the right and wrong and gave us the Free Will to choose which of these way to act.

And the soul and Him Who made it perfect,

Surah Ash-Shams, Verse 7

Then He inspired it to understand what is right and wrong for it;

Surah Ash-Shams, Verse 8

Upon making us be able to criticize the wrong and right, He all sent down Prophet Muhammad (SAW) to show us the truth.

And say: The truth is from your Lord, so let him who please believe, and let him who please disbelieve;

Surah Al-Kahf, Verse 29

Allah has commanded His messenger (Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to convey onto us the truth and gave us the benefits to choose whether to follow the truth or go astray and also warns that whoever turn away from the truth goes and whoever follow it (has ordained) has done so only for the good of himself.

Say: O people! indeed there has come to you the truth from your Lord, therefore whoever goes aright, he goes aright only for the good of his own soul, and whoever goes astray, he goes astray only to the detriment of it, and I am not a custodian over you.

Surah Yunus, Verse 108

Islam is a religion of choice. Allah has not made Islam a compulsion on anyone and has made clear the differences between the truth and false, bad and good. He also ordains us to do good always and follow the truth and forbids us from doing bad and turning away from the truth. Whoever obeys Allah has hold onto the firmest handle which shall not break.

There is no compulsion in religion; truly the right way has become clearly distinct from error; therefore, whoever disbelieves in the Shaitan and believes in Allah he indeed has laid hold on the firmest handle, which shall not break off, and Allah is Hearing, Knowing.

Surah Al-Baqara, Verse 256

Unto Allah alone is guidance, if He wills, He can make all man follow the truth.

Say: Then Allah’s is the conclusive argument; so if He please, He would certainly guide you all.

Surah Al-Anaam, Verse 149

And if your Lord had pleased, surely all those who are in the earth would have believed, all of them; will you then force men till they become believers?

Surah Yunus, Verse 99

Even the Prophet Muhammad(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) could not guide whom he wanted to be guided because Allah has never given the power to guide to anyone but Himself.

Surely you cannot guide whom you love, but Allah guides whom He pleases, and He knows best the followers of the right way.

Surah Al-Qasas, Verse 56

Allah sends guidance to whoever wishes to be guided. Wishes to be guided??? Yes. When one prepares his mind to believe in the truth brought by the prophet, Allah will therefore increase his guidance and will also continue to safeguard the him from all evil. If he prepares mind not to accept the truth and the guidance brought by the prophet, Allah leaves him to face misguidance.

And (as for) those who follow the right direction, He increases them in guidance and gives them their guarding (against evil).

Surah Muhammad, Verse 17

With the above verses and explanations, it is clear that faith or disbelief, obedience or disobedience, is a matter of personal choice and guidance or misguidance is from Allah.

Whoever purifies his soul by obeying Allah will become successful and whoever corrupts his own soul by disobeying the guidance sent by Allah through Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) will surely fail and have hell to himself.

He will indeed be successful who purifies it(his heart),

Surah Ash-Shams, Verse 9

And he will indeed fail who corrupts it(his heart).

Surah Ash-Shams, Verse 10

And Allah knows best.
